What kind of equipment is required and can we find everything we need in the military theater?
There are many equipment options available for application of these products. The Army Corps of Engineers has tested and specified Hydroseeding systems for use, either trailer mounted or skid mounted. Most of these are multi-functional with spray bars, hose reels, and tower guns. Scraper mounted water distribution systems, water trucks, and asphalt spreaders will also work well. Centrifugal pumps work best and require less maintenance. Midwest with the Army Corps of Engineers has developed the Wolverine™ HMMWV spray system which provides rapid and efficient application of dust suppressant chemicals via a spray bar or fire hose. This unit is self contained and particularly effective when used with EnviroKleen®, doing the same amount of work per load as a large capacity spreader.
