How do you calculate the volume of product required?
You will first need to measure or estimate the size of the area to be treated. Next select a product and application rate for your intended use from the table provided in this website. Then multiply the application rate for the particular product selected by the number of square yards of your treatment area to calculate the gallons required. This number is divided by 275 to determine the number of totes for your application.
An example for a 1-mile road 7-yards wide to be treated at 0.2 gallons per square yard is provided below. Please remember you can contact us at any time for assistance in designing and calculating your requirements.
(Area (1-mile x 7 yards) x App. Rate) / 275 = # of 275 gallon totes required
(12,320 yd. 2 x 0.2 gal/yd.2) / 275 = 9-Totes
